About the Theaters:
Wandering Aesthetics is the mission of wandering Aesthetics to transform our community through human connection, empathy, and intellectual discourse through storytelling, live performance, classes, and other high-quality cultural encounters. Dreamt into being in the mountains of Appalachia, where the company’s  co-founders Benjamin Rexroad and Kyle Jozsa, completed a thru- hike of the 2,185.9 mile Appalachian Trail, Wandering Aesthetics rose, like an overused cliche, from the ashes of Heads Up Productions. Beginning the organization as an Akron-based storytelling company bent on exploring our American roots and identity through the lens of narrative, we endeavored to build community through person-to-person contact, connecting disparate “tribes” through our performances, investigating the human link in our diverse cultural heritage.
Dunamis Theatre
Dunamis Theatre is an alternative performance company with a priority to both cultivating new works and presenting published works in experimental form and or challenging in content. Our intent is to provide a theatrical experience through all genres of theatre focusing on high quality productions; to explore new ideas, provide education, and training to develop theatre artists in children and adults in Akron and the surrounding areas. The mission of Dunamis Theatre is to inspire, challenge, entertain, educate, and empower artists and audiences of all ages by igniting the spark within our own internal dynamite; provoking examination of our contemporary world.

About Summer CAMP: A Midsummer Night's Dream:

“If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumbered here. While these visions did appear..."

Join Wandering Aesthetics’ Director of Education Kyle Jozsa – in conjunction with Nici Romo of Dunamis Theatre Company – as they, along with their students, explore William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. Using theatrical concepts, including imagination, character creation and teamwork, students will dive into the witty and imaginative Shakespearean classic, culminating in the development of their very own dynamic performance.

This two-week long summer camp will build on the students' theatrical experience, furthering their knowledge of the concepts of live performance. Each morning, in his engaging style, Jozsa will reinforce theatrical fundamentals and introduce the students to more advanced techniques of theatre. Each afternoon, students will collaborate to craft their tale in an atmosphere of cooperation and playfulness, culminating in a final performance for friends and family. Students should bring a water bottle and a brown bag lunch.
